Cosmo Magazine on Roaccutane and Sex Drive Loss

Cosmo Magazine on Roaccutane and Sex Drive Loss

Cosmo have published an article linking Roaccutane to libido loss.  Here’s the detail. Acne is the most common skin condition people tend to develop. Apart from the physical issues acne creates, it can also shake up one’s confidence.  However, as you’ll find out from the account of one girl, the connection between acne and a person’s sex life can be different from the one you would expect. Instead of increasing your self-esteem by getting rid of acne, your confidence can in fact plummet beyond repair, and it may not have to do with acne at all. Accutane, also known as Roaccutane, is an oral medication that is highly effective at clearing up acne as well as other types of breakouts. Acc... »

European Medicines Agency to Review RoAccutane Safety

European Medicines Agency to Review RoAccutane Safety

Members of the European Medicines Agency’s Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Committee (PRAC) are to meet early June 2017 to Review RoAccutane. This comes after a letter of evidence by Mr. David Roberts, the father of a UK suicide victim, was sent to Parliament encouraging action to be taken on behalf of a group of concerned parents. Parents whose children committed suicide after claiming Roaccutane left them with horrific side effects. In his letter Mr. Roberts highlighted several problems with RoAccutane the MHRA has refused to properly address: Patients taking the drug without reading warnings in the patient information leaflet (P.I.L.), Patients not wanting to quit the drug after side ef... »

The author of the article, Paul John Scott – who explains that he himself developed erectile dysfunction whilst taking Zoloft in his early 30s – interviews men and women who detail the lasting side effects which SSRIs have wrought on their health. Katherine Sharpe, an author by profession, describes how she experienced decreased sex drive whilst taking a prescription for Zoloft. This began to affect ... »

Antidepressant adverse effects

National debate over dangers of antidepressant adverse effects

The suicide of a young Danish man has sparked national debate over the dangers of antidepressant adverse effects. Danilo Terrida was 20 years old when he died in 2011, and since then the country’s health agency, Sundhedsstyrelsen, has amended legislation affecting the prescription of these medications.  The Copenhagen Post report includes the following excerpts:   Terrida’s family said that they were pleased that the rules had been tightened for prescribing antidepressants. “It doesn’t change the fact that we have lost our son,” Danilo’s mother, Marianne Terrida, told Jyllands-Posten newspaper. The fact that it’s a dangerous drug is not new, it’s been known a long time. &nbs... »

Chandler Marrs, PhD Examines Lupron Side Effects From the Perspective of Mitochondrial Dysfunction

Lupron and other GnRHa (Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone agonist) drugs are strongly suspected of causing life-altering, even debilitating, persistent side effects. GnRHa drugs act as a form of chemical castration by abolishing the initial chemical signal that ultimately leads to the production of testosterone and estrogen, decreasing their concentrations in the body many-fold. Appropriate levels of “sex hormones” are essential for maintenance of multiple physiological systems in both women and men, meaning profound pharmaceutical ablation of these hormones may likely result in undesirable consequences which span far beyond reproductive health alone. In addition to relaying GnRH si... »
